The provisions of this article shall control the design, installation and alteration
of all electrical materials, wiring, conductors and equipment within the City of Ottawa.
All such installation shall conform to the provisions of this chapter and the National
Electrical Code as adopted and modified hereby. It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to design, install or alter any electrical wiring, conductor or
equipment in any way other than that authorized by this chapter and the National Electrical
Code as adopted and modified hereby.
